CH vehicle? Swiss vehicle?

A term for something that, strictly speaking, hasn’t officially existed for over 30 years...

Since 1995, Switzerland has adopted the EU vehicle regulations.

Prior to that, Switzerland had its own emission, noise, and registration regulations – in some cases requiring

reduced engine power.

At that time, it was necessary to speak of a "Swiss vehicle".

What is meant by the term today:

First registration in Switzerland (i.e., a vehicle that has never been registered outside of Switzerland)

A vehicle with a Swiss type approval (Typenschein) or, for newer models: IVI – in other words, with “Swiss papers”

(The opposite would be a vehicle with a type approval marked “X” or “IVIX”)

Additionally, most customers associate the term with the generally higher Swiss standard of service,

such as free servicing for 100,000 km and a 3-year factory warranty

Our new vehicles offer all this and much more:

- Exclusively Swiss papers = Swiss type approval / IVI certificate

- Free service for 100,000 km / 5 years (or 6 years for BEVs), including not

only labor and parts but also all service fluids!

→ This is a genuine FREE service package, available only with our

  vehicles.

- Factory warranty for 3 years and 200,000 km!

- Free service and warranty are valid not only throughout Switzerland but

  across the entire EU!

- Delivery costs always included! (including paint sealing, etc.)
